Grassing Bankes Boat Blind

Anybody have any tips for grassing a Bankes Boat Blind? Trying to figure out an easy way to grass up the blind for early in the season while hunting puddle ducks and then taking the grass off to open water hunt for divers.

I am flattered that you would use that picture R.L., thought you would have improved on it by now. How has the J Stern raffia been working out for you?
Bill.

Lowes and probably home depot carry a synthetic bird netting in 3' x25' rolls. Cut sections of this to cover your sides , bow area and stern area. Attach raffia grass to this with zip ties. You didn,t mention the length of your boat but side runs you may want to do in 2 sections per side for easier handling and so it will roll up into smaller bundle. Attach pieces to your present blind with bungees or similar means. Roll up with raffia to inside of netting and stow under bow or along sides when not needed. Might want to add some bundles of switch grass or similar to top edge to drape in over shoot hole. These could be zip tied to netting or just shoved behind it as needed once installed.

Bill, I layer natural vegetation bundles, zip tied, over the base raffia camouflage. These come off each fall and get stored or tossed on the burn pile as they wear out. This is Steve Lewis, owner of the Bankes Crusader in the other photo.

I see the banks on the tandem axle trailer, i was referring to the TDB that i sold you with the Ohio registration numbers. If memory serves i used J Stern raffia to camo it. Received an email from Stern recently, they are ramping up production early to meet anticipated fall needs.

J Stern raffia Cleveland, ohio area for those interested.
