growing wild rice

anybody have any experence growing wild rice in a tidal marsh? im looking to plant some this fall and have some questions

River Refuge seed company has info on their web site about growing and time to sow. If you order from them in spring do it very early as they sell out quick.

Some thoughts from limited research and experience. If there is some rice in other tidal marshes near your area, harvest some and use it. Harvest in the fall, transfer to your area. Pack with mud and drop it around in the winter. Always keep wet. I?ve done this to amuse myself in areas that the geese eat out. Not sure I?m doing much good or damage.

I've tried it numerous times. Very hard to start. Buy seed . Pray.
