Guenther Garvey or Whistler or what is this?

I've been looking over the plans Eric put up of the Guenther Garvey when I came across a boat for sale on Market Place. Unfortunately it was sold before I could get to talk to the seller. While searching to see if I could identify the boat I realized it was a Whistler which is also one of the plans in Zack Taylors book Successful Waterfowling. Both these boats require planks for the side boards. Looks difficult after viewing a build on YouTube. Then I ran across a smaller pond box looking boat that maybe a stich and glue construction. This looks maybe a little simpler for someone such as myself with few tools and little carpenter experience. Does anyone recognize the boat/pond box in the 2nd picture and or know of plans to construct this? My goal would be a 1040 to 1240 sized boat that I can put in the bed of my truck.

At first I was thinking the second boat was a Hybrid but I dont think so.
Might be a homemade design?

The first does in fact look like Megargee's Whistler which is the same as the "Gunning Jon boat" in Zack Taylor's Successful Waterfowling. I don't believe the second is a Devlin. Could have been built from other plans or even a home brew design. The write-up on that second one makes me think the owner knows what he has. I'd contact him. Is it close enough for you to see in person?

The second one was something I found in a very old post from another duck hunting site I believe is now defunct. It was a site I never was given access to so I can't even find a person's name. I may have to try some guesses as to dimensions with some scrap wood and see if it bends. I'm sure I have some 1/4" luan laying around somewhere.
