I will be in Boise this summer. My wife and 2 sons are considering a relocation to get out of the Vermont winters. As a good friend recently asked me the definition of Ice Fishing and then informed me that "Ice fishing is making the best of a bad situation".... I would appreciate any information from guys in the Boise area about hunting opportunities. I DO NOT WANT hunting spots or anything of that nature. I just want to know that there are opportunities. While I am in Boise I would like to check out some of the bodies of water where I could potentially hunt. I have very little info on the particulars of Idaho law and how accessible public lands are to watefowling. I do know that Idaho has a sportsman's Bill of Rights. Any info on the area that would be applicable to a sportsman would be very welcome. I have enjoyed hunting in Vermont for the past 18 years and upstate New York before that. Everyone on the DBP has always been very generous with sharing information. Thanks in advance.
