Your statement pretty well sums it up. I go hunting and fishing for two basic reasons.

(A) the reward,,,,,,,, I eat what I keep. I eat it because I enjoy eating it and it generally is not available at the local market.

(B) the challenge,,,,,,, Doesn't matter whether it is a group of ducks overhead, a halibut down deep or a feisty bluegill in a farm pond, the challenge of the chase is what keeps my heart pumping.

If you look closer you can see that I hit at least two of them. Possibly the others just played dead, for the privilege of meeting me. This type of day has been scarce here as well.
