He was hunting for ducks, but shot a hunter instead, police said.

A Brentwood man hunting off Point Lookout has been charged with shooting a fellow hunter while aiming for wildfowl in the sky.

Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, police said, Ricardo Carter, 50, and two acquaintances were out on a 15-foot duck boat when Carter, with a 12-gauge shotgun, tried to take aim at flying ducks. Instead, police said, he shot one of his acquaintances in the arm.

The victim, 37, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow to be treated for his injuries. Police did not release his name. A hospital spokeswoman said Sunday the victim was not in intensive care but she could not provide more details on his condition.

Aiming at a duck and hit an arm????
1 brant are flying an your partner starts to wave a flag while you are aiming at the brant.
2 brant are flying left to right and it's time to spot your swing.
3 brant flying low along the water and you buddy jumps in front of you because he does not want you to shoot the brant.

That ramp is one of the ramps I launch from, I can't wait to find out what happen and put a name to the face. If they are regulars at the ramp I am sure I have seen them there.
