Here I am in balmy Florida where the temp is a mild 48 degrees. Which ironiclly is the same temp as I left IL yesterday afternoon.

Hoping you all have a good holiday and for those getting to hunt today be safe and shoot straight.

Happy Turkey Day everyone!!

Got to hunt this am shot two nice Drake Mallards, missed some blacks that I should have had.. Got to keep telling myself keep that head down..And best of all my pup "Beau Drake" (8 months old) made a great nice long retrieve across the river onto the far bank and back just like he was breed to do ...lol That was better than getting a few ducks... Made me happy as... well you know.... Gets better.... Got home to a house full of Turkey in the oven smells... hehehe... Its the only time (meal) my wife cooks all year.... Usually I cook she cleans..... Other way around today.... Makes me thankful for what I got... Ed

Happy Thanks giving every one. Went deer hunting this morning. Walked on the ice for 1/4 mile and then went in to the woods. Saw different kinds of wood peckers, red squirrels, a turkey. No deer. Had a enjoyable time. Was beautiful when the snow started coming down.
