Havre de Grace Decoy show...

My wife and I had a great time at the show. Though, we didn't get to walk around like we normally do. We actually set up a booth with North Bay Calls this year across from Mike Smyser...We had a good time doing, well just screwing around most of the time.

It was nice to meet Dave Diefenderfer and Yosh O., and chat with you guys. As well as seeing Jode and meeting his wife Lois.

I just realized this, but we hardly even had the chance to eat any seafood while we were there. We've got some making up to do.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I spent more money than I made, but I did come home with a great pair of Charlie Joiner Cans from the live auction. That was actually a secret goal I had set for the show. I didn't let my wife Michelle in on that secret until I had them in hand. She was pretty excited about it too though, so life is good. It ain't all about the money anyway...

We'll be back again next year.

It was good to talk with you and your wife, she has a Great sense of humor. If you are going to Clayton we should be there. The HdG Decoy Museum is a must see, and if you love Decoys & Waterfowling
History, please join.......it's well worth it.

Dang it...I knew there was somebody else that I was forgetting. Sorry about that Vince. It was good to see you again. And yes, my wife does have a very "unique" sense of humor.

Oh and my buddy is on his way up to pick up his muskrat decoy right now. I think deep down she is really going to miss that little guy.

We've been in the museum a few times, just never got around to getting in there this time around. We'll be at the reception for sure next year. We missed out on that.

I may just gather up a guy or two and head up to Clayton this year. Just to check it out though. I have a show to be at in the U.P. of MI the next weekend, I have to pace myself.

Hope to see ya up there,
Steve

Vince-
It was a pleasure finally getting to meet you. All the best. Maybe one day, the Jim Schmiedlin crew and myself might get up by you to hunt.

those rat decoys were really unique I was tempted to drop some coin on one as a joke in my gunning rig, but I had to watch my spendings lol

They kind of grow on ya...I wouldn't mind having one myself. My wife got a little teary eyed when she saw it go to it's rightful owner last night. Well, they were more tears of laughter, but they were still tears.

The pleasure was all mine, as I very much enjoyed meeting you. Jim and his "Crew", (Good Men) gun not that far from where I live. I've gotten the invite, but something always got in the way. Hopefully that's in the past. God willing, this fall we can all get together.

I gotta tell you, I saw lots of Decoys at HdG, but none of them made me Smile like "The Muskrat". That IS one fine lure, and if you put some hooks on it, and a swivel & snap. I'm sure it would make one helluva Muskie Plug. That thing has character and form, out the ying-yang! Grandma Lures would be happy to have that one. It is going to a good home, where it will be very much appreciated.
