Any one who can make it let me know here so I can plan the setup details.

Hope you bring your family and we get some weather.

Bob

I just heard from John and sent him this reply

"
Hey John,
I am glad you can make it. I figured you had a lot going on.
I decided on doing it at work as the marina can handle a bunch of folks no problem, and it is a very senic spot. There are bathrooms with showers and grills with picnic tables. At this point it looks like a small gathering. But that could change.

I am providing the place and the parking. I hope to make a chowder and will bring a burner for that.
If guys want to spend the dollars Lobster is available just down the road and the price can be determined if pickup is required.
Otherwise its burgers and dogs or whatever. There are two big groceries in mystic and we have a V good local small family place in town with a package store and very good meats.

Also a fish store on the way if someone wants to do that. "

I hope any DBHP folks in town on Sat feel free to come and join us after the show even if you cant stay for dinner.

Bob

Bob, the wife and I would like to attend. I'll be hanging with John off and on through the weekend... will there be a grill? I'll marinate some venison to bring? Dave

Dave,
you bet on the grill. Nothing better than a few medallions after a good ride in a merinade.

Todd,
Sorry you guys cant get up this weekend. The invite is good year round if you are over this way,,,,,,as long as my wife hasnt planned something else for that day.

Hey Bob we can not make it. :( We have a trap shoot, Baseball championship game and a wedding all in the same day. :) Sorry maybe next time. HHG

Hi Bob. Seeing as how Dave mentioned what he's bringing, I thought I would mention that I am bringing marinated duck breasts sliced into strips suitable for impaling on a skewer. The marinade is the "garlic skewer" marinade that was in the DU magazine a couple of months back.

Of course their will be beer too!

see you then, John

Thank you for the invite Bob. Wish i could make it down to pick your brain and see
waht everybody is doing. Maybe next time?

Any one else? I have heard from Dave, John and a few others. All are welcome. Hope you can come for a little bit if not more.
I will plan on starting early around 4:45pm so any folks with a long drive can get home\hotel at a reasonable hour.

Bob ,

I will call you tonight , but i will be there as will Andrew as well , we are going to the show and will be at your marina after that , i will bring some beer because you never can have enough beer , please let me know if you need anything else .

Dave Morton

Hi Dave. Glad to hear you and Andrew are going to make it.

Bob, I already have the skewers packed:):)

See you all there,
John

John,

I look forward to the get togther , spoke to Bob today and he has it all planned out for a good time , we will see you at the show also , what are you going to have there ? was it a pain to get into the show to display ? I was going to enter the cackler but ran out of time to get her ready , next year for sure . see you Sat.

Dave M

Hi Dave. I'm bringing the Snow Goose you saw in Vermont. I have a couple of decoys to display on the boat plus a couple of left over shirts from the Lake Champlain Waterfowl Festival that never sold. I figure I'll give them away to passing kids. I'm also bringing some "bottle boats". These are small boats made from scraps with an empty whiskey minature imbedded in them. I've made these for my neices and nephews. They put messages in the bottle and send the boats on an adventure.

And of course the obligatory cooler of beer:) :)

Actually it wasn't a pain at all, I just sent them an email with a picture and maybe 100 word description, and they sent me back an answer a week or so later.

John

Pete, I hope you can make it.
I shucked a peck of clams tonight to make chowder.
We hope for good weather.
