Henry Decoy Show

Have been meaning to call you but I seem to get way to busy......lol....My wife and I are headed out there as well.

Oh...I know what you mean. I'm not sure yet if Vickie is coming with me. She said something about getting some class work done over the weekend. She has told me if she needs to study I'm taking the dog!...LOL Lucy isn't a very good study buddy or for that matter a good travel companion yet but she needs to learn and that's why we crate train. I'll see you there.

Ed,
I will have a table at the show. When you walk in the gym, my table is the first one to your left. Stop by and say hi..... I have all kinds of decoys, both old and new as well as a few books and several past issues of Decoy Magazine (2002-2008).

Tim

Ed: I don't post much any more 'cause I just can't figure out the whole picture thing but I will be there as well. My table is also right inside the door on the corner across from Tim. Would like to meet you if you make it. Andy

I am new to carving decoys and new to this site...that being said, the Henry Decoy show will be my first show. I am looking forward to meeting many of you and seeing how everyone carves, paints and detail their birds.
I would also like to extend my thanks to Pat Gregory, Tim Speight and Jim Williams for all of their help and putting up with all my stupid questions as I stumble through carving my first couple of rigs.

Dave - No stupid questions when it comes to learning how to make decoys. Glad to have you aboard and, I can't wait to see your rig on the broadwater... Pat

Andy....I forgot that you were on this site. I am like you, I don't have the slightest clue as how to post a picture.
See you at Henry!

Tim

Never been to the Henry show. But I will be at my dads this weekend and I will take in Edgerton WI decoy show on Sat, then ride down with my brother for the henry show on sunday. After living on the east coast for 7 years and always having decoy shows to go to, I have been jonsing to get to one for a while. I wet my whistle last weekend and made a last minute trip to Minneapolis show. It felt good, Plus I may thaw out by being that far south! Should I bring shorts and sandals?

You bet, Sunday - Rain, Wind and 43 degress. Reminds me of Florida.....well not the 43 degree part but still warmer than ND I suppose.

I wish you'd figure out the whole picture thing because I sure like the looks of your decoys you have posted...especially that Odd-Couple pair, coot and widgeon sharing a keel and a meal.

The Henry show...I think once again, I have to say "maybe next year". Too bad, traveling would be decent with the warm temperatures. But alas too much work to get done, it will be hard enough to break away for Westlake.

Chuck: As soon as someone comes up with a cure for terminal stupidity I may be in business. As far as the odd couple, I sold that to a guy in Colorado. Wish I hadn't. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Having just relocated to Central Illinois this will be my first decoy show! Just had a great banquet in Henry last weekend.

Really looking forward to meeting some of you and getting some ideas to get started on my own rig this summer. I put on a lot of miles with work and driving up and down the Illinois lately has already got me ready for the Fall season.

PS-If anyone knows of homes for rent around the outskirts of Peoria I am still looking.
