Thats right, my first ever buck, this is my 2nd year bow hunting and last night i finally got one, he came in last evening with probably 15 mins left in legal hunting time. No problem tracking him as i was literally shivering before the shot and eventhough i practiced and practiced on my glendale buck with every possible shot angle, i shot high and spined him, had to dispatch with a follow up shot.
Now i can finally show it to my son who always said " dad howcome you never get the one with that big spikes on the head". Dropped off at the butcher for some nice organic chops and steaks.

That is a great NJ buck!!

Now make sure you post some more pics of ducks on the deck of your new boat come second season!!

Nice buck! Congrats! I'm jealous since i'm extremely allergic to deer I haven't been able to hunt them for the past 9 years. Way to go.

Now you are going to find out if you really like duck hunting,
because those tenderloins and roasts are sure going to be good. In pounds collected, deer hunting with a bow sure is rewarding. Lucky for me I have a very small freezer! Makes the decision easy to head for the duck swamp.
 
Congrats on the buck! Looks like a good one.

I've yet to get a buck, as I usually have a hard time not going after the ducks.
