One year at the Sandanona Vintage Cup a young gentleman showed up at the first station with an over and under. No one said a thing but when he shot the judge called "Lost pair" no matter how he shot. So you can shoot and O/U at a Vintage event but you can't hit any target.

There is still a picture of Judy and myself on the Vintager website in our turn of the century garb.

Dave, sorry to hear about your leg. Us old guys are falling apart. I'm scheduled for shoulder surgery in a few weeks due to a hockey injury a few months back.

It's been awhile. I'll have to go back through that website again and see if I can spot you and Judy. I like the way your club manages to solve the problem when people push the rules around. I can just see the look on the O/U shooter's face when the judge calls "Lost Pair" every time....too funny. But, I'm sure they get the point eventually.

It's much the same when guys push the "Nothing after 1840" rules at the Mtn. Man Rendezvous. Like when you can see the guys "Fruit of the Loom" under his breech-clout or he try's to enter a match with an in-line T.C. just because it's a muzzle loader.

I'm getting around better everyday, but that sure hurt. Now Bill....tell me that was an OLD Hockey injury or I'm really going to feel bad, haha. But I do hope all comes out o.k. with the surgery. I also hope you'll be healed up good by the bird season. Good to hear from you and my best to you and Judy.

Well Dave,

I'm going to have to make you feel bad because I injured it in February this year. One of the other guys in the office (about 30 years my junior) plays on the same team told everyone that I tripped over the blue line. He may have been right as I was pretty tired and caught an edge and went down on my right shoulder. I know what you mean about pain, I thought I'd broken my arm but when I stopped sliding I moved it and it still worked so I finished the game. I am convinced (along with strong agreement from Judy) that it was a career ending injury.

Hope your leg heals up soon so you can drag Sutton's tired ass around for some quality gunning.

I'm all for trying to keep in shape, but I think Judy's comment brings out the truth.....we're getting a little too old for Hockey's pitfalls. Again, I hope you are mended by the bird season.

As for Steve, it's about all I can do to keep up with that "Long-Legged" character. You've done a lot of duck hunting with him in the boats, but it's no easy matter trying to keep up with his 50" strides out in Sage Hen country.

You and Judy have a nice lobster & crab cake filled summer.
