Herters Vork Decoys - No tail boards

Hi,
I acquired cork Herter's decoys that ere probably the last end of what Cabela's sold, they have no tail boards they are cork to the end in both the mallards and the blue bills is there a disadvantage to this?

Can't speak much to the value. Normally tailboards will help protest the cork from damage cause the tailboards will break first. I think some people wouldpprefer them without since the Herters tailboards were kind of lousy and thin. Its gonna be a pretty subjective answer to your question in my opinion...

I've got a half dozen of the Herters "do it yourself" corkers that they used to sell through Cabelas. No tailboards cut...Still in the box. Maybe I'll whip up a few Can heads and assemble them.

It's apparent my phone typing is lousy. I don't think there is a big disadvantage. What I meant to say is the tailboards protect the cork to a degree from chipping in the tail area. They'll be fine without them. Lots of cork decoys don't have tailboards...
