Hey Pete, the pig might have to wait

Well maybe with some heavy praying and some better luck you will get that snow. Ours is beginning to melt however I expect a lot of it to hang around. The temp is at 8F this morning with a high of 34F.

Jali's chocolates are filling out quickly. She is doing a great job for being a first time mom.

You guessed it, Pete. I sure looked forward to a good night's sleep when I went to bed at 8:45PM last night. However at 2:45AM I was awakened by new born puppies raising a big fuss. Seems that Jali decided that the carpet was to be put into a nest again. Now the pups who wanted to nurse had their feet slipping and sliding and they let me know that they did not like that. So I took them all out of the box plus a disgruntle mom and straightened out the carpeting. Ah, Peace and Quiet. I am still awake however but the coffee sure tastes good.

Tim, that would be a nice thing to do. I have many fond memories of busting pheasants out of cattails. I do know this. It has been exactly 50 years ago this fall that I last shot a pheasant.
Good to hear that you were getting puppy fever. I want you to know that I would love seeing more puppy pics if you bought Deuce II---

Hi Dani,
Unfortunately, no! Just 8F this morning and the highs hovering around the 32F mark. Hope by the weekend that might change but now they are talking about more snow!

Good Morning Al,
Always good to see the pictures of the pups, sorry for all the snow, we tried to keep it here in Rio Rancho but you all needed it more.
Should be some ducks on the river but your small ponds will be locked up at 8F. Be carful on the hill from the house, you might need me to come down and help you get home.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Bev.

PS: Heading North on the weekend to chase some Geese, Bella II will be 4 in January, how time fly's. She did well in Kansas a couple of weeks ago chasing Pheasants.

Thanks so much, Dennis. I wish you well on that goose hunt. Sure hope that Bella gets lots of reps. As for her brother, Chip, he can hardly wait to get out and hunt again. That has to be after Bev gets back. If you are ever in the area, please stop by. Lots of puppy breath around here.
