Didn't get it over a dog, but after trudging through mud and snow for miles on end today, I was happy to shoot a Lessor. Been a very good KS trip this year. I will give you details when I get back.

Yeah, we did. My brother befriended a hardcore Lessor chicken hunter over a year ago and he invited us down for a day while we were in KS quail hunting this last week. They estimated we saw over a 150 chickens that day. We put up roughly 6 coveys walking behind the dogs, then when we hit a milo field that was erupting in chickens. I came real close to getting one behind Brandee, as she went on point it flew at about 45 yds from me, but didn't clear the dog from my angle quite soon enough. It was very tough hunting with all the snow still on the ground. Marty and I saw a few greaters where we were quail hunting and chased a couple coveys around, marty landed one, but they escaped me without a shot.

thanks guys, well except you george, that hurts. That gun is just a Ugartechea 16ga, I still in the market for a nice classic 16ga double for phez and chickens.

Wow Bill, I've been out internet contact for the past bit. That is great for you! I would for sure like to get the full story at some point.

Great photo too.
