When you start catching them nurses, then we'll know the surgery was a success!
 
I don't know why the text of my message didn't come up yesterday, but thanks so much for all the messages guys and Dani.

I'm not wearing a brace, just the rods and bolts holding me together for now until the bone graft heals. I'm taking 12 percocet/day right now to help with the surgery pain. The constipation from the meds is a nice bonus. Its got me eating my veggies I'll tell ya.

Hey I gotta tell you guys how great Jane is. You know how I'm always crying that I've never been to a decoy show? Last night she booked me a flight to Cleveland next March 21! Isn't that the Westlake weekend?

You'll need extra time to go through security on your way to Clevland next year. And if you make it there, we'll finally get a chance to meet in person, because I'm planning to go again.

Way to go, I just might have to go to my first Westlake show next March.

Man, 12 Percoset a day is huge. Hope you can get off of them real quick. Make sure you eat tons of fiber, veggies, hot sauce, ice cream ............ whatever it will take. You don't want to know what happens if you don't.

Get some "Senna" as it will definitely help with the bad side effect of the Percoset. I've had Kidney Stone surgery and Oral surgery recently so I know what I'm talking about.
Hang in there Podnuh,as the bad stuff will be over sooner than you realize.

You'll heal up quick. Just don't over do it when you are feeling good!! It will take some time for complete healing on the inside.

I've been using Senekot for a week to get the plumbing moving, but I guess I'll have to switch to something else for a bit as its effectiveness wears off. Too bad they couldn't bottle ptarmigan soup - that'd work. I guess I could just eat at McD's everyday?

As fare as active goes, the doc said no driving for 3 weeks, no lifting more than 5 lbs for 3 MONTHS! (that's a jug of milk) and no sissy housework ever again. Jenny is going to be doing a lot of pile work this summer I'm afraid - no throwing.

It is great staying here at my aunt's, because she has her own mobility problems and already has the bars installed to help me get on and off the crapper, has one of those recliners that lifts you up to your feet, and a scooter. If I was here longer I'd pimp that ride for her.

It was warm enough for shorts here in Calgary today! I haven't been this warm in my own country for years.

I head back to Whitehorse on Sunday afternoon.

Mike, here's a treat for you and your plumbing. Get Jane to buy you some sugar free chocolates and eat the whole bag or box. It will only take about 20 mins for the butt volcano to erupt. This taste better than any other laxative type medicines. Read the label on sugar free stuff and it says overconsumption will cause a laxative effect. Believe me I know it will.

Welcome back to the world of Bipeds. Glad to hear everything is progressing as planned. Remember to listen to the physical therapists! and just because the pain has subsided doesn't mean the healing process is finished. I'm still working on Westlake for next year and would look forward to buying you a cold one.
