I'm getting around a little better now, and able to sit for several minutes at a time. The surgery went well they said and I have no nerve pain at all now. I'll fly back to Whitehorse on Sunday wich will have been two weeks in the big city here. I sure miss my family. I've watched more TV in the last week than in the last 10 yrs!

Going to try to go out cane shopping today and get some sun.

Post lots of pics of your summery weather!

Take it easy and mend. I'd send you a pic of some summery weather but it's raining and 48 degrees here now...maybe that IS summery to you though!

Glad to hear you're doing better...with all of the thoughts and prayers from the duckboats crew, the Almighty probably wanted you healed just so we'd go away...

Keep us up to speed.

I'll see if I can get some summer-y pics. We're overcast and mid-70's right now, with threat of more severe weather, but the weekend is supposed to be glorious.

It's good to hear of your progress. Are you in a body cast or in some type of support or are the rods enough support--just a curious physical therapist. It has to be great having that surgery behind you.

I have a cork, BW teal, full body on a stick, that I would love to trade for one of your decoys.

Dani, how far is ormond beach from you? I got a week of vacation around thanksgiving and would love to catch up some of you southerners. Maybe shoot a bird or two-?.

Ormond beach is about an hour-hour and a half (depending on how fast you drive and if you get caught doing 'excessive speeds') from me. It's just N of daytona and I can usually get to the daytona off ramps in an hour and ten minutes from my house. And from where Hitch and I hunted this past season, it's about an hour or so away from there.

Depending on when your vacation is, will depend on if you can shoot. Generally season opens the saturday before thanksgiving, then closes the sunday after and is closed for two more weeks. Then reopens in Dec. It would be fun to catch up with ya. Let us know when you'll be around, and I'll let you know if I'll be around.
 
Good to hear from ya buddy! Thanks for bringing us up to date on how you are doing. The no nerve pain sounds good. When you feel better let us know what the Doc's did to ya. Being home with teh family will be the best cure of all. Take it easy and let yourself mend.

BTW we are having some weird weather all of a sudden, 82 today, 96 on Thursday and they say 101 on Friday, 97 on Saturday, 92 on Sunday and then cool weather with some rain by next mid week.....crazy weather for sure!

what ya think mike of ol dani gurl hunts with aligators in a canoe and then trades it in for a surf board to swim withthe sharks my gawd she is fearless female indiana jones i swear... tho hitch looks more like indy on his air boat ,"id be wary careful "with them two they go into harms way alot!!!

i hope ya get back to the family ASAP im sure there fine but with a few hugs and tears things will be better for everyone....in person...

You make it sound as if I let the gators into my canoe when I hunt. That's CRAZY! Now if they were little, and I could take em home for dinner? YEAH. But those big suckers that would sink a ship? No Way! Can ya see my new retriver? He's about 5 ft long, lots of big pointy teeth and can find all my ducks, all the time.

Sharks, schmarks. I worry more when the Men O' War come floating on up through Jacksonville. Then you won't see me in the water. I don't mess around with such evil.
 
glad to hear your doing better Mike. But why are you cane shopping when you should be carving your own?!

I saw the posts on the board that said you were getting some work done. Glad to see you are mending and in good spirits. Maybe a few Maple syrup shooters would help you along.
 
Glad to hear you're feeling good...hang in there! Don't forget to watch the playoffs and the cup finals...it's very appropriate!
