Any one have any experience this boat?? Have a chance to purchase one in 15 foot range neat looking boat Just looking for any pros or cons

Thanks

I live in South Carolina. High Tides were built in Georgetown, SC. Tough boat and great for running through the swamp. High Tide closed up shop, sold their molds and another company called MI Tide makes em now.

I lived in Myrtle Beach for several years and these boats were a hugely popular choice of both hunters and fishermen along the grand strand and south through Georgetown towards Charleston. I've hunted and fished a couple of friends and I was fairly impressed with the boats. Personally I think the 16ft boat is perfect if you want a side console but the 15 ft boat is a great size for a tiller controlled boat. They handle chop well for their size and have a reasonable draft. My only complaint is how they hide. No way to put a decent scissor blind or flip over blind on them. Everyone I ever saw with a blind on it had a permanent cage blind with palm fronds zip tied to it, those blinds hide well but they are tough to set decoys and pick them up and are sail boats in a high wind.

That is a terrible name for a boat but a very very cool skiff.
I have a 16' Sturdee Dory, it's cool looking boat but not that good all around.

They are a good boat. Had a few friends who had them. No complaints about structure. I am not sure what is used in the transom or stringers. Worth seeing how solid or punky they are. Should not be a dull thud when whacked. You can also look for swelling around the motor bracket. I assume that it is bolted on. Fixing these would not be worth it unless the boat was free.

Is the boat your looking at the bay boat listed on eastern shore craigs list? If so that is a neat looking hull and I would think that 40 yammie should make it fly.
