What a Team, season, ALCS and world series! Last night was the final scoop of dirt on the grave of Theo's team and Bobby V. coaching disaster. St. Louis fans You have a hell of a team, coach and Organization. How many days till pitchers report to Spring training?:) BOSTON STRONG!!!!

Sad night at the Pattersons. We are a family of Cards fans. Ortiz is a hitting machine and Boston did something we could not, get hits with runners in scoring position. Both teams had great pitching and defenses were on par with each other. Cards just never got the big hits like Boston did. Congrats and I hope we can make it back next year.

since I did not have a team in this fight I cheered only for good baseball. I did get to see that and enjoyed the series

Eric,There's no doubt St.louis is going to make another couple runs for a title or two with club they have in place and in farm system. What outstanding pitching on both teams. The team era's were low for both. Man, Whole family was on edge of our seats all through the series. When Lackey loaded the bases with Holliday, I about came unglued. I had to go outside and load wood burner, I couldn't watch it ,LOL. I was worried the whole series. St louis' risp was what got them. One hit a number of times and it could of been all different, but that's baseball. Did you catch the Yaddie comment to the home plate ump about Ortis? I think game 5? I was impressed with the respect Yaddie had for Papi. To have Yaddies' respect is big. He's a machine at Catcher.

I did see that. Yadi said to ump Jim James "This guy is incredible." and the ump responded "He's fun to watch." Yadi just gave more evidence of what a classy act he is. He could have trashed talked him in the midst of the competition but instead paid him an unsolicited compliment. Ortiz definitely deserved MVP. He was unstoppable.

Gene,

As a lifelong Yankee fan it was very weird rooting for the Red Sox. If it hadn't been for knowing Lackey for the last 30 years I think I would have been rooting for the Cardinals. I really enjoyed the whole series and I have a very high respect for the guys like Pedroia, Gomes and Victorino. They really play the game hard and the right way.

I'm a die-hard Sox fan.

My wife and I started in dating in September of 2004 just before the Sox won for the first time, and got married in September of 2007 just before they won the second.

This year, when it was clear the Sox were going to win the AL East and head to the playoffs, she asked, "Do we need to get divorced for the Sox to win again? Would it be worth it to you?"

LOL!

Eric, I hope we see you guys again next year!

Living on the North Shore there is only one team to root for. The Red Sox had an incredible series and I loved watching every game. Sorry Eric. Hope both teams get back again next year. Great win for Boston this year with all that happen in the spring.
