history of herters decoy ?

where they are from....its always been understood that its appreciated and helps us get to know people, and without doubt increases response to questions, (at least when they first show up), but there is NO requirement that they do so....if people don't won't to show wher they are from then they aren't requiremd to....

The only rule is no nicknames.....

That answer your question when you asked the same question above on Trip?

In reality there are very very few people on the site who would have been of the right age, and lived in the right part of the country, for them to have ever even had the opportunity to visit the store.....
Thanks, make me feel old why don't ya! Ok not too old since I can barely remember it but I was at the Mitchell SD store probably near its end in the mid 70's. Unfortunately the things I remember are all the stuffed animals, much like Cabelas now days, and the Herters emblem. I'll see if my mom has pictures of the visit, seems like there were some taken. I wish I could remember more about the Herters stuff my uncle had. His was all fishing related, he built rods, made lures and all that kind of stuff. Sadly he passed away when I was only 11. Tim
