Hitch question

I recently bought a UTV which I use to pull my boat on a PWC trailer from my house to one of the places I hunt. This place is 2 miles from my house using paved county roads. Long story short is there is no place on the UTV to hook up the safety chains. Is there something out there that I can hook the safety chains to my ball mount to at least ensure if the trailer pops off the ball that I can keep the trailer attached to the UTV?

Try a local welding shop. If you have a receiver, it could be welded to it. Have seen a few welded to the hitch, but if it came loose you loose everything. Better to be welded to the receiver.
Have seen a few boats on the side of the road with hitches lost...

Do you have a receiver mounted to the ute? A neighbor uses a hitch pin with a hole drilled on either end of the pin that goes thru the hicth and reciever. He used carabineers thru the holes where he hooks his chains.

Ed L.--Now that sounds like a very simple and easy solution which should work great for my situation--Thanks!!

Mark--That would work as well--Thanks!

I wonder if anyone makes something that attaches to the ball mount like what Mark suggested with attachment rings directly off to the sides?
