I am home in Sturgis now. This has been a clusterpuck of sorts. Cheryl and I flew to Houston Monday, saw my MD Anderson Doctor Tuesday and flew home Yesterday. The Dr and us decided that we can undergo the treatments hers at Uof M instead of staying down there. There was nothing special that they could offer I guess, that hit me like a kick in the nads. They STILL don't have all my pathology done so not 100% ure on what cancer I have...so far they are calling it an undifferentiated carcinoma. Eric D would know what that means and it is a stage 4 which means it has spread. Not good but my Dr said I was strong and able to fight a good fight. I read below you guys have been sending cards to MD Anderson, I should have warned them about this crazy gang. With all the flying the last couple days, I was sure I'd see a lot of ducks and geese on water. I saw some ducks on a pond coming into Detroit and told Cheryl.."There's a bunch of ducks and geese".......you would have thought I yelled "BOMB" with the gasps of a couple close passengers. I told them they were still on the water. Thanks for all your well wishes and we'll see if they forward the stuff from MD Anderson. Best medicine is to know you have friends.

UM Hospital is a top notch facility and I am glad you are home. Its better for you and for your family while you fight this thing.

I sent a note to Texas yesterday so it must have missed you but the basic message was:

Just get better, brother

In case my email card doesnt make here is a summary:

"Get better, get home and get your @#$% back on the DHBP!"

Home is a lot better than being in the hospital anytime! Keep up a good fight, we are all praying for you and your family in this trying time.

Yo Lee,

Good to hear you're home. Keep up the fight and keep us posted on the situation. I think about you daily and send up a good word.

My card involved a dog wearing a pot on his head and said to

Fight like hell and let me know if there's anything I can do.

We've got your back Lee. Kick this things ASS!

So much for my plans to roll into town and load up on $2.00 a sheet Ply wood and .50 2x4's. Now that the boss is back in town the SUPER SALE is canceled. And to think I dropped $750.00 on an in room lap dance girl too. Those Texas chicks are expensive, Oh well it was the thought that counted, I guess.

I do have some treatment suggestion that I will be forwarding to the staff at U of M. My Uncle Cashimere from over in Southbend once claimed to have farted out a tumor. My Auntie Irene said it looked more like dried poop, but I would tend to believe Uncle K more, cause he worked for Bendix and use to build his own homemade tv sets, so anybody that smart has to be telling the truth.

So I will be advising the other oncolgists (I'll be introducing myself as Dr. Killdeer from White Pigeon, this should work cause I don't think they have to many phones to call and check in white Pigeon) that massive doses of Frank's Original Red Hot Sauce via IV, along with a rigorous schedule of Ducks Blood Soup, (chourninina sp?) and We'll have you right as rain in no time.

Don't worry pal, we're all puling for you

Oh, well, on the bright side, you got a trip to texas!! hehhe---
Get going with the treatments---don't forget to drink your chicken soup, too!
We are all talking with THE MAN and cheering for you, Harker---You are already tough, so let's just get well, hear!!!
God Bless

Well Sturgis is a better place now that you are home. As a UNC School of Public Health grad, I have heard for many years that the U of M is absolutely first rate. Do what the Doc's say and put your war face on. You have a lot of people praying for you Lee.

God bless you and your's,
Harry

You owe me a stamp and an envelope.

Lee, Good humor with the waterfowl sighting. I always thought that meeting a pal named Jack in the airplane would be a good one on the tight asses (Hi Jack). Keep kickin!!!!!! We're pullin for ya.

Lee, Fight like hell. We're pulling for you.

You and your family are in my daily thoughts and prayers.

Lee,

Good luck bro, I am assuming Chemo will start once they have the final path done. Are they talking radiation as well?

Nothing witty, just the sentiment that I hope you do well with all of this.

If your lumber yard had Okoume and that sale was still going on I would be taking a road trip to try and beat Brian there. You can never have enough marine ply...
