Hollowing Tan Cork

Some of the pro cork arguments for cork are that it rides the water like a duck due to its weight

Paul I do not consider you a smartass.......My point was just simply that I hollowed out my some of my decoys for a lighter weight for easier transportation to the farm pond that I hunt. The area is surronded by trees and there are not to many large waves or big winds that I have to worry about but with a slight breeze my lighter decoys move very natural. That would probably be true if they were plastic, foam, hollowed cork or hollowed wood in this hunting situation. As always when I offer up my perspective on carving decoys I am offering "A way" not the "Only way" so I do not mind your questions.

Thanks Pops, Just wanted to clear it up. I know how typed word can come off with a considerably different tone than spoken word. Now I gotta ask if this top secret walk in spot could possibly be "education lake" Thought about seeing if my neighbor would want to trade my three acres for a 60 ft easement and a 60 ft wide acre of shoreline along it.

Paul I'm not sure what there was that needed to be cleared up as I was just trying to present my method and reasoning for hollowing and as you can see it's a process used by several folks. Anyway, my pond is on a farm near my house and it doesn't have a name. We use it opening weekend only. It's great for Woodies, Teal and an occasional Mallard.
