Household Peel Ply

Peel ply is a stitch and glue boat builders best friend because it helps get you results far exceeding your capabilities. But what to do when you run out or just need a little for a small project? A few days ago I busted our shovel while moving the fish house. Although I had some leftover Peel Ply from my previous build, it was buried in the crawlspace with all my epoxy supplies. No problem, my wife always has Glad Press'NSeal in the cupboard. The results speak for themselves and it peels off the epoxy/ fiberglass cloth, once it is cured, leaving a near perfect finish. RM

I was replacing my floor in my CC boat when I lived in Florida. I accidentally sawed threw the outer hull with circular saw. Cut was about 6 inches long. There was a boat builder in the industrial park where the company I worked at was. He showed me a little trick filling the cut and backing it inside and out with clear packing tape. When the epoxy setup the tape peeled off and the surface was smooth enough to just paint and back in the water.
