how I make telephone pole decoys

been sealing decoys with this stuff for years, dont know if it still available

primed with base coat of rustoleun flat black starting to block in feather layout of white house paint

this is tube white mixed with a thickening agent using a knife to blend it has the body of toothpaste and applied to dry white undercoat . You see that brush that looks like a shaving brush . Thats what I use to shade the bird using a stippling technique

Bob- I really like these telco dekes. That Can looks so tough. A well seasoned old bird, that has seen his share of missed shots.

This is one of the finished birds. After paint is dried I rub in with my fingers raw umber right out of the tube . This to me balances the whole bird. I then take a soft cloth and wipe away any excess.
