Huntindave beat us to it!

we haven't concluded with the artist on the back artwork yet, have never had the authorization to use the site logo on any clothing, haven't finalized the design on the shirts, and already they are being bootlegged.....

I'm impressed....why the heck didn't we think about just saying..."here it is...go print it up in any version you want" and be done with it.....

VERY IMPRESSED.....

Hey Dave, how much are your counterfeits? Can I get one at the Shipshewana flea market?

Dave was saying they were only $5.99 at Wally World. At my local store, they were already on backorder.

Steve, Lee, Dutch and any one else concerned,

I guess it was one of those things where you just had to be there to understand. A counterfeit? an knockoff? bootlegged? Well heck yes! and it was presented as such. Every one there got a good chuckle from it.

Serioursly, no one was or is attempting to pass it off as an alternative to purchashing an official shirt to support this site. I'm certainly not smart enough to think that I had an original idea in making an iron on transfer.

Yes Lee and Dutch, the counterfeit is for sale with 100 percent of the selling price to be paid directly to this site. Because of the rarity of this counterfeit, overwhelming demand has jacked the price up to $89.99 which is a discounted price due to it being worn already.

Are you charging extra for the Ketchup and beer stains Dave? Dave "sweat" musst be worth something. Any smeared bugs on the Tee after the motorcylce ride home.

Can't wait to get my machinged mud motor bracket.

It was nice seeing you again and thank you for the suggestions on how to make the motor better.

some of the guys heads. I thought it was funny as hell and so did Steve and most the other guys. What a great idea to have that made up for the Mid-West DHBP get-together. That was pretty damn good "one-upmanship" and we know why you did it..........PERFECT!

The only reason Dave didn't have a pocket it catches bugs on a motorcycle and a bee in the pocket at sixty miles a hour is no fun. hee hee

the fact is that we don't have the signed permission back from the owner of the art work on the back and we've never had permission on the site logo for anything but that logo, and the decals, so the entire thing, to my way of thinking, is, to put it very bluntly, BULLSHIT.....

Its taken alot of time and effort to get permission to use the site logo in the two authorized areas and we were told specifically it was never to be used somewhere else....the use of it, even as an iron on "joke" is not, IMO, a good joke...

Same for the artwork on the back...We paid to use that artwork. We've done our part to secure permission and are waiting on the return signed permission back from that artist. To see the artwork on a shirt before we've even got it back from the people that are going to produce the shirts frankly PISSES ME OFF no matter what the reason for, or method of, its application....

Thats just me...I dont' run the place so perhaps Eric feels differently about this but there's somepridein ownership of the idea to my way of thinking and it pisses me off to see it in circulation, even if its just a one off, before we've even finalized the damn thing...

I'm done now...take the rant anyway you want.....

Steve,

It was mearly ment in good spirt! After all you didn't chew my ass off when I used a decal to create a sign for the first "UN' offical Midwest DHBP gether together!

P.S....unless I'm now barred I will still be purchasing the "OFFICAL" DHPB shirts when available!

so consider your ass chewed out as well.....

I understand the "intent" was not meant as anything other than honorable...doesn't change any of the rest of the "issues" I have with it, both from an authorization to use and personal standpoint....

A simple call asking if it was o.k. to use the logo's prior to using them would have solved all of the issues that I have with its use....

Like I said in my original post I didn't do all that I've done to this point, (and Eric's efforts trump mine), to appreciate seeing any variation of the graphice debutted in any format other than the official site shirt....

Steve

I can't speak for all but I'm sure I speak for some in that I think it's great that you guys are putting this together. I'm still going to proudly wear the shirt whether my ass gets chewed or not. I'm sorry I didn't see the post that read "without expressed written consent". If I'm bright enough or quick enough to come up with the next one you can be assured I will be asking the questions.

As you said...enough said!

Have a good day.
