You guys are
all such comedians, (don't quit your day jobs)

At work you guys need to start a pool of some sort like how many times Dave will get lost or how many tickets he'll wind up with.
No tickets yet Eric but the guy that passed me yesterday was sitting with a cop car behind him when I caught up to him on the highway.
Lost? see below about GPS

He's probably not understanding "kmh" and doing 100-120mph.
Hey Lee, Whats this "kmh" you speak of? Actually besides my speedometer on the truck I have been having my dash mounted GPS set on metric units and it gives me my ground speed in Kilometers. Which BTW registered 150KPH today when I passed four RVs at once. hehe I covered 800 miles Tuesday and 850 miles yesterday so yes, I've been burning up some blacktop.
As far as the gas prices, I just close my eyes and slide the card thru. I think it cost me $130 to fill the tank one time yesterday. Still worth it to have my truck over my motorcycle. I've encountered too much rain, loose gravel, snow and road construction, to want to be riding a bike.
Speaking of encounters,,,, I had a real close up encounter with some of the wildlife already. Seems that this one doe deer wanted to occupy the same point in space as my truck. The truck came out of it with just a small crease in the hood but the deer wasn't so lucky. So far I've seen (all in the road right of way) deer, bison, elk, bear, sheep, and moose. Fortunatly only the one deer decided to change sides of the road.
The East entrance to Yellowstone Park was closed last Sunday due to a snow storm. Everything above about 5500 foot elevation is still covered with winter snow. Did a little fishing in the Firehole River even though it was running pretty hot and heavy from snow melt. Most all of the rivers I drove past the last day or two have been running fast and turbid from runoff. Heavy snows this winter combined with the rains have made fishing conditions not so good in Wyoming and Montana.
I'm at Yukon Mike's place now and we plan to put the kayaks in someplace tomorrow and try our luck.
