By the sounds of it, I must have found the ducks. Heavy frost on everything this morning bur deadly calm. So quiet........it hurt! Went into the marsh with my son, my buddy and his son. Had a wonderful time watching the boys we trained show good sportmanship and gun safety plus some good shooting. Then I got to watch my dog that I trained retrivieve birds between the dekes I made...........does it get any better? Yes it does.......I was pleasantly surprised that a fellow hunter had set up a few hundred yards down and was happy to see him not call over us when we were working birds and vice versa. I there are still some good hunters out there after all.........besides all of us on DB.net of course. Second day of our Missouri season and we had plenty of mallards and buffleheads keeping us busy. Was buzzed by goldeneyes, dropped a pintail drake. Hooded Mergansers came in several times and took 2 from their numbers and had several looks from passing Canadas but could not pull the trigger on one. The best start I have seen for awhile......going to be in the 60's today and tomorrow. Not good! Hope everyone is doing well. dc

Glad to hear it Dave! You are the first person I have heard talk favorably of this season so far. Joe Bastardi (accuweather) is sticking to his guns on this December and January being cold. Too late for our friends to the north, but it may turn out good for us. By the way... pass the suntan lotion lol Shawn
