We are under a blizzard watch tomorrow. Wish I was off in the afternoon to see the migration finally begin. Somewheres around 12-18" expected. I am going to make sure that I plow everything a few times during the night and not wait till everything is done like last time. It's a real PITA plowing almost 2 feet with a quad.

thats the best way to do it ... plow with the storm. We are looking at almost 2 feet here by Saturday evening. You couldnt find a roll of toilet paper, a loaf of bread, or a gallon of milk to save your life around here now. The panic is on!!!!!! Thank god I have a snow blower and a teenager still living at home .... he'll be plenty busy.

Mike,

You need to trade in the quad and get a plow on your truck. I can push right through 2' of snow with no problem in a full size 2500 series pick up. Leaves more time to hunt.
I'll be thinking about you as I'm shooting Canada Geese tomorrow. Only 10 days left. hehehe
We should be getting hit with the storm some time on Saturday. I have to work, but will probably be in the plow truck clearing out the marina. I just hope we don't get as much as they say. With all the boats out of the water the yard is packed full and no place to push all that snow. Looks like we will have to use the tractors with the front loaders if it's that bad.

Good luck

Just went out to the shed and put the charger on the battery for the quad just to make sure it's got plenty of juice. I need to fill the tank as well. Picked up a six pack and the way home....maybe I should have made it 24 for the long weekend ;)

that is ONEEEEEEeeee NASTTTTYYYY avatar......

something like I'd expect to see on the Refuge along with a name something along the lines of MALLARDMASHER or ANASANUS.....

OOOOOOKKKKKKK thats just disturbing.......on a whole lot of levels.....

Steve

So much for global warming, eh?
I have plenty to do over the weekend, including shovelling, or, if my neighbor gets it started, blowing out his yard, and ours.
Rehabbing a few rigs for westlake right now---stuff took a beating this past season, due to a november noreaster, which put close to four feet of water on the marsh, then icing conditions for a good part of the season.
Stay warm, folks.
This one should be just loads of fun, especially since most dot's on the delmarva have no concept of what a plow is designed to do.

John,

I was going to get one for my Yukon, but for the same money, I bought the quad with a plow and winch and now I have a toy as well. My parking lot is flat and has 8 spaces which isn't too bad. It's the front of the house which sits on a hill that is hard to get up with the plow if there is too much snow.

We only have the north/south special zones open now for the geese and I don't have any spots in those areas yet. Guess I'll just have to tow the kids around the neighborhood with the quad....

I wait until the snow is done... but I have 60" 2 stage blower on the FWA tractor. It gobbles up 2-3' of snow.

Are you saying my "rosie" avatar doesnt do anything for ya?!?!?!? I get a chuckle out of it every time I look at it ..... she is such a pig!!!

way out of place when compard to the "other" avatars on the site and way more appropriate for the Refuge.......

NASTY......

Steve

I'm just glad it's only a head shot. I would be worried if it was a full body shot. Judging by her facial expression I don't want to know where her hands are....
As T would say "Thats Nasty"

That avatar doesn't fit the decor of this site. Do me favor. Look at the other avatars here and tell me if you really think it belongs. No slam intended. Just an honest question.

Which I had a teen age son to do some work around here.
I have 3 daughters. 20, 17 and 16. My 17 yr old just a car 2 weeks ago so now I have to dig out 4 cars..ug

Ok ...... I will give in for the sake of the good taste of this site. Hope no one has nightmares!!

John the last I heard women can shovel just as well as men ....... Make the whole family get out there and do the clean up. Quite often we get the whole family out there after the storm is over, but during the storm it usually just my son and I. Actually now that he knows how to run the snowblower he loves getting out there.

Matt, thaks for getting rid of Rosie! It was hard to look at for sure!!! How about a dog or a boat or something normal and boring..........................That's what I like about this site. Just normal people........................................Kevin
