Ideas for a duck boat cart

Thanks Mark, just got back yesterday from a very cold but successful SD trip. As soon as I get everything cleaned up and put away I will probably sleep for a couple days and then think about what project has moved to the top of the list. Funny thing about the prop freezing, its probably telling you it is time to go ice fishing. I might even think about doing some of that crazy sport again this year. Thanks again for the offer of loans. I am kinda afraid to get too close to that beauty of a trailer. " Try it, you'll like it" has bit me below the belt before. I have ended up with a couple motorcycles and at least one shotgun after "trying it" ;-))

Mark,

Those are really nice trailers. I had a chance to see one up close and personal in Florida. Real cool design. Just not something I can convince the banker I need.

I built this cart on a Saturday about 15 years ago or more and still use it. Materials (red oak from Lowe's) were maybe $30 plus some scrounged up bicycle wheels. Wood would be a little higher today. I've never put more that about 50 pounds on it but it was definitely up to the task and you could modify the design to make it stronger. It's all wood so no welding required. I think the only tools used were a chop saw, jigsaw, and a drill. I strap the boat on with ratchet straps and use the boat handles to pull everything with.
