If you havent been to the MLB Site Lately....

I really like the shots at water level that Greg took of Mark in the Chuck Huff. He was set up roughly 15-20 yards behind and got some great photos. The pics of Mark with the sxs in the sneakbox was him demonstrating that eiders can be taken, cleanly, with a 28 ga.. I must admit to recommending against it but the 28 certainly worked when they get as close as most of these did. We had a great time with them, very nice guys.

Dear Carl,

Thanks for posting this up. Greg did indeed get some great photos.

Dear Derek Z,

Thank you for your kind words as well!

Dear Stuart,

You and Jim Bucko treated us like royalty! Thank you so very much for that! The hunting was world class but even better was the way you guys welcomed us, and your boundless generousity. I truly hope that you and Jim will come out next October, so that we can return the favor.

The 28 gauge guns did the job, but you hit the nail on the head. The birds were in close. I will continue to use the 28 more and more each season. That new ITX shot was very impressive, I must say. Both the Eiders and Brant were cleanly dispatched with no crippling.

Last, that's the first time we used the Chuck Huff boats in open water as a layout boat. We have solely used them as traditional marsh BBSBs. I have a few places reachable/huntable with a trolling motor that I will use this rig for, next season. It's convenient when you can use the same boat to carry and set the rig, as well as tend to picking up the birds with.

God Bless All,

Mark
