It is possible for our 9 day early teal season to begin. I have no idea what it will be like. Let's see, I can distinctly remember the last two rains that we have had; one which was on Sept.14th, 2013 and the other was on April 10th of this year. Will there be water flowing in the Rio Grande then or will there only be dust clouds of blowing sand? It could be drier than a corn cob but then with any luck, it might be possible for us to have some, maybe by Divine intervention or El Nino. Some meteorologists are even talking about the Oceanic Kelvin waves in the Pacific Ocean, which is a good thing if you live in the desert.
Am I excited about the upcoming early teal season? Naw---

Here are two pictures of Habanero bringing back birds in our early season last year. My friend's alfalfa field got flooded and the ducks loved that.

This shot I took earlier when a flock of white-faced ibis came in to feed. Sometimes when I see things like this, I really don't care if I shoot a duck. These are some of the events that make duck hunting so special.
