In search of more light.

Well Scott I guess a group of men getting together and trading simular ideas and likes and helping each other is a cult to you well I hate to think that you are telling everyone that Duckboat forum is a cult because that is kind of what I see going on here.

Thanks Bro. I'm WB Harry Whitley PM at Crown Point 708 in Greenville NC. Scottish and York Rites and NOMS Valley of New Bern NC. Good to know you are on this site SMIB.

Forkunion. Is that where they have/had a military school ? I was once forced to attend Oak Ridge Military Institute.

Nice knowing you Bother,
Harry

I'm and your post caught my eye right away. Happy to see some brothers on the site. Normal Lodge #673 in Normal, IL, and I'm waiting a few more years until my daughter are out of the house before seeking more light in Scottish Rite.

I'm often searching for the light, early in the morning during November and December in my fiberglass sarcophagus while floating upon the waters.

This usually follows somewhat disorganised rites at the local provider of combustible's and victuals, while engaging in colloquy with my Brothers.

;-)

More light in the bright sense is a good thing. We are gaining daylight at a rate of about 6 minutes a day now. I still go to work in the dark but coming home there is this grey color in the west, and its getting better every day. Freezing you A__ off in the dark builds characters, and in AK we got lots of em.

My Dad was a Shriner and Mason and was very proud of it. I was in Demolay when I was a teenager. What most people don't see is the tremendous asset to a community these organizations are. It's human nature to make fun of them (in ignorance or fear). Most of the members are the movers and shakers of your town that get things done, start the business' that employ the citizens, sponsor your kids sports teams, sponsor scholarships,Shriners Childrens Hospital and on and on.Glad you found a few brothers here.

I plead ignorance, but in my defense they aren't exactly sharing their secrets. Good works aside all the cryptic messages seem a little silly to those of us on the outside and kind of invites a little ribbing on a duckboat forum. :-)

Rick Pierce, WM #127 Springfield, Arkansas and dual member at Plumerville, Arkansas. Going to work on Scottish Rite in the next year or two.

I know I'm at least fourth generation, and I think fifth or sixth.
