This is Jack. Pa just showed me the Teal. They look good. We were making the weights this morning. I will try to do a good job on the hunt.

Jack is a man of few words...but I know he is excited about the decoys showing up in the mail. We just started getting some gear sorted out this morning. That lead to us dipping the weights we will use to rig the Teal when they show up. Checked to see if we have enough line, etc. Can't wait to have them in the bag and ready to go hunting.

Thanks again for doing these for Jack!

Jack - I know you will. Just know that each time you gun with these decoys, in each one is over 100 years of waterfowling history starting with my great grandpa George "Homerun" Barto...

Good hunting, shoot straight and God bless! Pat

Cool project Pat. Love the pic of them all in the tub together. Made me chuckle decoy carvers are such a weird bunch! haha.

Pat~

Beautiful birds - but I think you've got 'em bunched up a little too tight. I recommend you spread the rig out a bit....

All the best (and wishing WE had an Early Teal season.....)

Beautiful birds, Pat. Tight-grouped birds give the illusion of fear. That first group that comes in is going to fall head over wings for these. lol

Thank you for the kind words Bill. Amazingly, in December last year, we had enough green wings at our duck club that they were bunched up like this. It was the infamous "Corner Hunt" with Jim Williams and Dave Ludington. It's one of those hunts you never forget...

Hope you and Jen are well. I miss the Big Apple... Pat

I like em all bunched up. Nice rig Pat. Heres a pile I started a couple of days ago

Bluewings, white cedar. Had to dip into the Strategic Cedar Reserve. Im low on wood and eyes.
