Info on Northeast Arkansas duck hunting

I have the chance to hunt Northeast Arkansas and just looking to see how the hunting will be in mid to late January. It is private property in a small town called Cord 8 miles from a WMA called Rainey Break on the Black River. I think it will be hunting in flooded rice fields as the people that will be taking us out are rice farmers. Any info would be helpful.

Pete,
Here's a look at last years survey during January. Although it doesn't call out Shirey Bay Rainy Brake WMA hopefully this will give you an idea of the duck numbers that were in the area. I will tell you Cord is about 20 miles to the WMA (my wife's family is from Batesville and surrounding area) but if you're hunting flooded rice you should have ducks.

Thanks for the Info. Do you know if you can hunt Sundays in Arkansas?

I left Arkansas in the late 90's. I hunted Sundays. There may have been a couple of WMA's with specific hours and dates but a lot has changed through the years in the bible belt. For instance Benton County where I lived was a dry county until recently as well as many counties in the state.
