I finally took some investment advice from the experts and bought some metal. I couldn't afford gold or silver. So, I bought 160 pounds of lead bars. The pile should keep my in keel weight and anchor weights for a while.

Yea, just bought 50 lbs myself. Wish I'd bought a ton of lead shot back in the early 2000s when lead was $.20 per pound instead of what it is now..... Shot was ~$14 for a 25lbs bag of magnum, now it is 3-4 times that.

One of my buddies has a huge party out at his farm every year. We have a motorcycle ride along Lake Michigan then grill out and play yard games all afternoon and when it gets dark the band or DJ starts playing. He always has a few barrels of beer and he never returns the barrels to get his deposit until the next year. When he starte the barrels deposit was $10 now its $35-40. I told him thats one of the best investments anyone has made in the last 10 years.
