Little early yet for those. I usually get a a couple gallons during turkey season. Love em with a little butter and salt and pepper yum yum. I also dry them if I get enough.

Yeah a little early, but not far away. Won't be long and the Black Morels will start to emerge. They are my favorite type to hunt. I use them in all kinds of dishes but like you I also saute alot up and eat. I cook/freeze alot as well as dehydrate for later use. I have to say that I enjoy hunting them more than eating them though, as hard as that may be to believe. Ha ha ha.

If y'all get too many, just dry them, box them up and ship them to me. I will get rid of them!

In one word: Yes.

A lady at my Church usually gives me several batches. She tells me that once you find them, you can usually find them in the same spot year after year. I'd love to find my own someday. Just another example of God's bounty.
