I can't find my stump its buried under this white stuff and they tell me we will get another 12" of it today now that lake superior has defrosted enough to start lake effect!

What should I do?

Brandon,

If I were you, I would clear that stump of all snow, get up on it and start dancing and don't stop till your legs burn.
This is turning out to be one long winter. Longer for you guys a bit farther north.
I'm hopeful we have see the last of the big snow storms around here for a while.
Now just watch those flood waters....

spring, schming,we just shot killed, skinned and ate that #$%$#% groundhog!! Gotta wait until Thursday, Ballard!!

Hey old man! Good to see you crawled out of your hole. It's been a long winter when we haven't seen a Brian Ballard selfie in 6 months...

I hope you and your family are well... pg

All ya had to do was to walk in the woods, and fields last fall, and SEE the abundance of natural food on every tree, vine and stalk. The most I had seen in 49 seasons. Told my wife, either we were in for one helluva winter, or the End Was Near. So far it's one outta two. We still have lots of the white stuff and very cold nights. Liquor stores are doin' banner business.....

Long term forecast here sez expect a "cooler" April and May as well. HA!

if it keeps up opening day will be through the ice. our pike marshes are filling but pike are only trickling through.

the end of the week will hopefully be different

Last year the fishing opener on the SD /Minn border lake was ice fishing and this year could be the same. My brother says he bangs knuckles when the auger hits the ice. Last year the local C.O. was checking licenses on opener and got some funny looks when he asked for life jackets on the snowmobiles. He is a good humor guy and was only kidding.

May there be a day in early April that will warm your heart and soul. It will then be the time that you won't remember the bitter cold of winter as you begin dreaming of a warmer tomorrow.

Well yesterday morning I awoke to low single digit temperatures, today I awoke to 5 inches of snow. I am glad it is spring somewhere but I can not see it from here.

Yes,after 50 something below zero mornings,28 inches of clear ice,and close to 2.5 ft of snow I booked a flight to Florida!

Wake Robin's are reddish....
Other Spring Flowers have the same "hueish".....
It if wasn't for stump dancing and the Druish......
We'd all be Jewish......

Happy First Day of Spring to everyone....
Brian...nice to know that others enjoy, and look forward to, some "stump time".....
Tim...great looking little German Ugly dog that has adopted you......will be doing a cross country drive in 2015...train him right so I can shoot a Pheasant over him on the way South......

I got some garden work today and I think it officially cursed us. They're saying 3-5 more inches for the Baltimore area on Tuesday.

Enough is enough!
