Jarhead encounters a road side ambush

Glad you're ok Dave. They sure can do a number on a vehicle. Driving a VW Sportwagen I am extra careful as I think a deer would likely total my car. The last deer I hit was with my Suburban - killed the deer outright and cost me $30 to replace the headlight bezel - should have bought a lottery ticket that night.

Armour up transporters, the deer are out to mess up the traveling decoy hunts!

Traveling decoy transporters should keep an eye out for deer. They must have something going on. Last year we (Wendell & I) were bringing James across RI, towing the 14-fter, when a doe tried to take us out. First time in some 38 years of driving that I struck a deer. With the armored front bumper and a bit of advanced warning, I didn't take any damaged and she staggered back to her feet in a 360 and took off. Love steel!

Should have had a Front End Replacement on it.. there would have been zero damage....

YaYa, I suppose had I been driving a juiced up Dodge Ram,,,,,,,,,,,,, I could have just driven over the deer in the same manner as a roadway speed bump. Followed by my Chessie cleaning up the roadkill for a light snack.

Well.... Yes.... but the truth is even a stock F150 could have just treated that deer like a speed bump with a heavy FER.

Mine is a Warn. My favorite is the Buckstop. www.buckstop.biz I picked mine up on ebay.. new... never installed... some paint scratches... $750. It took a deer 1 week after installed. Money well spent
