jersey cedar

My friend and I recently got into decoy carving and we are trying to add a few birds of our own to the rig next year. Does anyone know where to find white cedar in south jersey? Thanks for any help!

Bill Lewis, Is Ten Acres Motel still in business in Abseacon? I spent so many week ends there they let me bring my labrador into the room. I used to give him a warm shower to move the salt and mud off him. Nice folks owned that place. Is Mott's Creek Inn still sitting at the end of that road. Been a couple of hurricanes come thru NJ since I was last down in Brigantine gunning Black ducks and Snow Geese. I used to bring customers and their sons down and we'd rag spread Snow Geese and stay at Ten'acker's and go to dinner to the Smithville Inn on Friday and Saturday nights. Those kids got to be good goose hunter's and their fathers kept my business busy all year.

Back in the 70's Russ Cookingham had me teaching folks how to Texas Rag Spread hunt in High School and Community College Auditoriums the year before they opened Snow goose hunting.

Motts Creek Inn is still there and operational. Sandy didn't damage their building much, but they lost all their docks. Some of the houses on the road got banged up also.

RJ,Ten Acres is still there.I go by there everyday and I don't see a lot of activity going on except at the small restaurant out front that gets a few customers. As stated above Mott's is still going.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. I plan on taking a driver down memory lane on Saturday night during the Tuckerton Decoy show this coming fall. I work the NJ Watefowl Booth at tuckerton that week end I stay'd in a motel closers to AC and wasn't much impressed with it. If the motel is still open, I'd enjoy spending that saturday night there, just for the memories. Is the Smithville Inn still going strong? That would be another memory lane trip.
