Just checked out Jode Hillman's website www.hillmandecoys.com . On his homepage is a link to a 13 min. video interview with Jode in his shop. He is doing some carving and sharing his thoughts and ideas regarding the "art of the decoy". Enjoyed this. Good stuff Jode !

Got up this morning and watched the video while my wife got ready for work (RN early shift). She's not even into decoys and enjoyed Jode's thoughts. Thank you for letting us know about the video.

It's a good sample of what drives him and keeps him going during this stage in his art career. He never stands still, just keeps moving ahead to challenge himself.
 
Thanks Ken, I am glad you enjoyed it. They were Just some random thoughts I was sharing with a friend a year or so ago. He thought it would be good insight for many types of creative folks......

Different but common for all artists and craftsman. Nice to hear I'm not alone. Looking at the same four walls day in and day out can sometimes be challenging!
