Jon Boat Layout Blind Combo

I am considering using my field layout blind in my small jon boat. My idea is to use some 3/8" plywood and make two long 18" strips to lay on the jon boat seats and then put my layout blind on the plywood. I have some areas where I can pull the bow of the boat up a small incline in the marsh and then I would get into the layout blind. This would give me a very low profile in the reeds and wild rice. I have die-cut camo and raffia grass to camo the boat and blind. Comments will be appreciated.

It would work. Be sure to check how tippy the set up is if the bulk of the hull is in the water for shooting. A jon is usually built with a heavy taper to the sides and is tippy if the center of gravity gets too high in the smaller boats.
But if it is solid when you lay on the seats and you can shoot from the sitting position it will be way more concealed than sitting height in a blind or hide.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding "tippiness". My boat is fairly stable and with me on the plywood lengthwise on the seats it shouldn't be any more tippy than when I sit on the seat. The reason I want to cut the plywood lengthwise is so I can stack it on the side of the seats when I don't need it to support the layout blind.
