and he asked that I pass along his best wishes for the coming Holiday Season and to tell everyone that he is, in fact, still alive and well and looking forward to being able to get back on the site...

The house building is about (3) weeks behind and they don't have an internet hook up so its impossible for him to get on the internet to say howdy....

Weather in the area is like here, cold and getting colder, and thats slowing things down on the completion of the house...Dave figures they'll be finished and in the house by the first of the year...

Everything is "good", the house sounds great and Dave is getting it set up so that he can shoot the Wood Ducks out his hot tub.....he's even planning on getting a new dog since Judy says that now that she's retired that the waters too cold for her to continue with the retrieving duties......

Thats all the news thats fit to print......

Good to hear that Dave's doing well. I was just thinking the other day that I miss reading his posts. Curious to know how the birds have been doing in the new pens.
 
Dave probably got tired of feeding them and ate them. Good to hear the old cowboy is well, need to send him an email.....maybe just call him.
 
he sold some to dog trainers and some more to a falconer and then was releasing the rest of them on the property a few at a time enjoying the shooting they were providing for him and his friends.....

He was down to a dozen but lost those to Coons that managed to get past the hot wires, (solar panels didn't charge the batteries enough to be a deterent after multiple days of cloudy weather so they managed to slip by), and killed the ones he had left.....he wasn't planning on overwintering any of them so that wasn't that big a loss for him.....

Lee you'll need to call him on his cell since there's no phone line for the computer yet.....

Bummer to hear about the coons getting the rest of the birds. Seems Dave could put that Savage .17 to good use on those rascals.
