Now that it's over I thought I'd share some photos of our season. As far as the diver hunting went I can't complain about the number of birds we saw, most days we saw plenty. However the mild weather and light breezes that were common this year did limit the amount of decoying birds.

some nice variety in the ducks you killed! one of these days ill get my layout up to the finger lakes to kill a redhead. been a dream of mine for a long time.

oh i also like the 870 in the layout boat. pump guns are the way to go!

Thanks everyone. I enjoy getting the kids out for the experience. We really have a boatful now that all 3 boys can go! Molly too, I feel bad if she doesn't get to retrieve.

Will: We are fortunate with the number of redhead on the Finger Lakes. You'd have a good chance at one up here in the late season.

Looks like they all had a great time John. So what did I miss on the last hunt? Was that the last picture you show? I'm going to have to make it a point to come up there next season to hunt with you guys. 3rd try is the charm right?

Any luck with the winter coyotes?

Yes Steve, those last 6 photos were from our last hunt on Saturday. It was a good day with decent wind, lots of birds flying, and some decoying. Look forward to hunting with you next year!

I plan on getting the canine line out next week. No snow right now, hope we don't get too much this weekend.
