L.I. Opener & Thanksgiving Day

I just want to wish everybody that's going out tomorrow Good Luck and Safe Hunting not only tomorrow but the entire 2016 - 2017 season. Unfortunately do to circumstances I'll miss this weekend on the bay but rest assured I will be there for the second opener AND thereafter.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.

Sorry you cannot be on the Bay tomorrow. I have enjoyed a long tradition of gunning on Thanksgiving morning and plan to be sitting beside a river as the skies lighten - and maybe a bit of snow will fall. And if some birds join me, that'll be just one more thing for which I will be thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the members and their family. No doing the turkey bit, but substituted with fresh picnic bay scallops...
Made opening day, but was very slow. No real wind, what little there was is in our faces [ground blind]. Ended up with three shovelers [first double] one shot, ran into the shot. No mallards or others. Lots of geese flying, but no takers.
