Will there be a Lacrosse boat builder get together this year. Or for that matter are there any others in the middle of the country. I've got a boat to show off and I am looking for blind ideas.

But most important I heard there was steak and beer involved. I'm from Kentucky so I guess I'll bring the bourbon and chewing tobacco. You'll know me 'cause I'll be the one not wearing shoes.

Typically one of the members here, Rick Kyte keeps us informed about the event. The event is based around a conservation effort to raise money and awareness for the Brice Prairie area north Lacrosse. Here's a link.

If we do, this will be the third year. It's been a lot of fun getting together and seeing each others boats and shooting the breeze about hunting, fishing, decoy carving and any other topic that comes up. Stay tuned I'm sure Rick will chime in.

Oh you never can be too sure about that. Pete McMiller came real close last year when he showed up wearing crocs! Pretty blues one they were too!

I highly recommend the Lacross get together, last year was my first time and it was great! Do not bring more than three boats though, I will keep that crown. As it turns out I will not be there this year because I will be in Argentina with a guy I met there last year, ironic huh? If you are planning to camp go to the Veterans campground east of town. It is nice and quiet and closer to Brice Prairie. I hope you guys get a chance to get your boats wet this year, I would love a chance to test drive some of the other ones before building again. To heck with the boat, what kind of Bourbon? I hope to make it this year as I weaseled at the last minute last year due to too much travel beforehand.

So, you guys stood around taking pictures of each others shoes? Sounds like a great time or it sounds like the beer thinking this was a funny thing. The beer talking I can understand, the other.......

Pete, did you really take that runt out of the river? Sunfish that are taken before their time will never grow up and we are left with the stunted ones.

No, black pumps will better match my outfit and the line of my calf doesn't look right in high heels. Thanks for asking. What will you be wearing?

I had picked out a nice olive colored pair of knee boots but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,


If the BS gets any deeper I'll have to go with my chest waders in a nice camo pattern, course that means I'll also have to change my whole wardrobe. I do hope you wont be wearing the same shade or pattern, won't want to clash for the picture taking.
