looking at those I'm reminded of "STUPEFYING JONES" from the old Little Abner comic strip....a stunning lass whose very appearance could knock a man to his knees, unable to do more than drool.......never having seen "Ms. Jones" in anything other than the comic strips I'd have to say if she was as "stunning" as your birds are that I can sympathis with Abner and the other mtn. folk when her presence....
You've got taste...good taste. How did you get your paint to look so warm and classy looking? I'd love to try to carve a rig in that style some day. Real "Harve de Grace" if I had to guess. Love the finish.
You guys sure know how to make a fella blush, ( and probably a few ladies to LOL!)
If you could of only seen them stuck in 2 feet of boot sucking mud, on a blow out tide, these last few days you wouldn't believe it. Nice thing about being smooth is the clean up nice too.
Steve, I have to say the was a great way to get your point across............LOL!, and actually Brian I have some Black ducks drying by the woodstove as I type this.....................Jode
David, The paint is just tube oil painte wet on wet and left to dry "natural" They will continue to mellow for a few more months and the exposure to the elements helps speed this process. The style is consistent with a locale about 60 miles due north from HDG....................
Here's the spot on a similar day.....my buddy in the foreground, I'm in the back wishing the water would come back and getting ready for a muddy walk to retreive my dekes..........................!
I hope you didnt take it as a dig. I totally respect you for loving your sport as much as you obviously do. Wish I had the time and talent to make a rig myself.
Oh Heck no Steve...........My skin's way to thick for that. Believe me, I know if you are in the right spot you can kill duck over clumps of mud. The dekes just add another enjoyable dimension to it....!
