Last day of our season in New Mexico

Well, Tom, with our temps anywhere from 10 to 15F above normal all that "liquid stuff" will be gone from the face of the earth by June. We are now worrying about the run off being way too early and of course the farmers are wondering about what kind of a year they will have if there is not enough water to go around. By the way, they don't seem to care about my ducks and if there is water for them---dang it. The state and federal waterfowl areas are last on the list when it comes to water with agriculture right up at the top of the list.

The water wars are for real down here.

I hope your neck of the woods begins to gradually thaw. You sure don't need any floods.

Sure glad you liked it, Pat. My buddies go with me wherever I go. Here is a shot from yesterday when I was out cutting firewood. By the way, Habi can shuck those cockleburs right off with a good shake but Chip doesn't seem to care yet about the burs. He will kind of shake but normally I need to help pick them out. Not a big deal. I sure was impressed with your great season and the places you were able to go to. Makes you a very lucky man. Good for you!

Hey Doug,
With so much fickle weather now it is sure hard to predict what kind of season we will be having. Sorry to hear about yours ending when the ducks finally arrived.

Hope the pups are doing just fine.
