Last day of the season

After google review we think it to be a greater scaup.

Not too much here going on. Closer to open water has been a war zone.
Did find out that there are some hunters about 300 yards down. Seem to be decent guys though, no sky busting or anything

Open up the wing: if the white coloration along the feather shafts extends out into the primary feathers on the wing's tip, it is a greater scaup hen...which is what is.

Well packed up earlier than I had planned. Was foggy most of the morning. Once the sun came out it was dead calm so no birds were flying then. Talked to the guy further down. He shot a BlueBill and wounded another that he was still looking for.

Guys out closer to the bigger water did pretty good that I saw at the ramp.

Back home now so will drive around and look in my normal spots for a sneak shoot to end the year if anything is around.

Well after driving around and searching and only finding some hooded mergansers too far to shoot buffleheads I decided to come home where an excited someone was ready to go outside. (Too warm for ducks but feels good to him to play outside.)

So I would I still had a great day even though I didn't pull the trigger once. Now onto snow geese if they come down and turkey
