It has come. Looks like we are going to great weather for the gathering - for the whole weekend. Thought I would put everything into one post so if you want to print it, it is all here.

First, the actual lunch on Saturday will begin around 1:00 I am pushing it back and hour to wait for a couple of folks who will be arriving somewhere around that time. The main event will be at Shelter/Pavillion #2. Campsites of participants are listed on the spreadhseet below.

Bring your boats, decoys, gadgets whatever you think others would have an interest in seeing. I'm bringing a new LED spotlight, a non motorized way to make decoys move in river current , and a couple of other "unique" items. I'm certain there are way more creative folks than me so bring whatcha got.

IF you have somethign you want to trade, sell or give away to another hunter, bring it along. Might be a good place to swap stuff out. I have a few kids clothes and some kids waders I'd like to get rid of.

My cell phone number is (651) 283-4643 if you need to reach me. Unfortunately I won't be getting there until real early Saturday. Hope to leave home around 5:00 am and get to the campground around 8 or so. I'm bring the airhorn to wake the Friday night arrivers.

Folks attending (I'm also bringing hamburgers for all - for some reason it doesn't show i the spreadsheet)

I think that is everything. If I've missed something add it for others to see. See you all in a couple.

I've got pies, chips, pop, beer, lunch meat and cheese. If memory serves the campground store has a fair stock of stuff we may need. A run to town if we need anything else isn't out of the question. See you then.

Campground calendar is showing a camper appreciation pig rost tomorrow at 2:00pm at the pavilion. Bring your own tableware, drinks and a dish to pass. A band plays from 7 - 11pm.

Phil -the group meal is Saturday at 1:00. Feel free to bring whatever you think would be enjoyed by all. We've got hamburgers and brats for the group so if you want to grill something other than that for yourslef, bring it along. Meals on Friday, and Saturday evening are on your won. In the past, we have always met at someone's campsite and just shared what we had along. Never went hungry.

The link to the pavilion worked not that long ago - wonder what happened. It isn't hard to find even without a mpa. The campground is well laifd out and easy to navigate around. I believe the pavillion is at the far north end of the campground area. I'll see if I can find another link.

Let me know if there are other questions.

Hope someone reads this and can bring lighter fluid for the grill. I've been running all day and am going to eat and go to bed.

Mark:
I really enjoyed the 2012 Midwest Duckboat Builders get together this weekend. There were some great dogs, neat boats, wonderful people, and good food. Thank you for all you did to pull this together.

Well another Midwest get together is in the books so to speak. Pictures I'm sure will be forth coming. I had a good time as always. It was good seeing old freinds and meeting new ones. Of course missed seeing those that couldn't make it this year. A raised glass to Mark W. for MCing and taking the time to make sure we had a place to gather for the cookout. Also to HuntinDave for allowing me to take a the Chuck Huff for a test ride. Hard to believe just how fast that boat goes with a 15hp motor. I always liked the lines a BBSB type boat but growing up in deep "V"'s I wasn't sure about a speed boat that sits so close to the water. I'm still not sure about it in the dark but it just may be my next boat.

Yes it was another great Midwest DHBP gathering and over way to quick. I think we could have kept each other entertained for another full day but all good things must end sometime. When I got home lady M was waiting, somewhat feeling left out. Next year I will bring her and Suzie with the journals for your enjoyment. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to her trips and journaled them. The pictures are amazing this year. I will give her a good home and at least one hunt a year off the shelf. I came home with a bunch of new ideas and tricks to try. It was a pleasure to meet new people and old friends again. Thanks Mark for putting the details together, hope you made it out of the 35W parking lot. Dave, saw you leaving this AM, hope you found a few fish. Brandon, didn't envy your drive but I'll bet the kids slept the whole way. Phil, your left trailer light is out!!!!!.Thanks to everyone for a great time.

Yep, another gathering bites the dust. It was great to meet and catch up with everyone again this year. Thanks to Mark for all his behind the scene work. Thanks to Laura for her fine tasting peach pies. (I hope she comes again next year!!) We had a good turn out, but I think we were overrun by Chessies this year. :>) :>) At least the Chessies were better behaved than their owners.

Phil, get your lights fixed.

Chessies rule and Labs Drool... We need MORE Chessies...

AND I don't believe in no stinkin' lights!!!! Musgt suck going back to work after haveing 2 months off!!!!

Phil,

Yes, it is 4:50AM Monday and I don't have a fishing rod in my hand. Something is wrong with that picture.

PS. Fix those lights.
PPS. Please post the group photo if you get a chance.

Dave, For what it is worth I wish this morning that I had a job to run off to. Life is certainly complicated. But worry not I will figure it out.

It was good seeing everybody that I have not seen in a couple of years. Also met a lot of nice people, just wish I could have stayed longer.

Dave, I realize Laura is prettier and a better pie maker then me but I would have thought I would at least get mentioned. Is it because I brought a Chessie pup?

It was a good time and It was great to put some names with faces. I felt back taking off early but I think we made the right call the kids were beat and slept most of the way home. Next year I will bring a boat to put in the river and a few decoys to show off. I might even bring Laura if she feels like making pie again.
